Chronic Pain & Mind-Body Health
For people who are tired of fighting with their bodies.
You've seen the specialists. You've tried the treatments. You've spent countless hours researching, hoping the next appointment, medication, procedure, or recommendation will finally be the thing that changes everything.
Pain may have started in the body, but over time it often affects far more than that. It can change how you move through your days, how you relate to yourself, how you plan for the future, and how much of your life feels available to you.
If you've ever been told the pain is "all in your head," you're not alone. It isn't. And at the same time, understanding the relationship between the brain, body, nervous system, emotions, and lived experience can open new possibilities for healing.
What this work looks like
Chronic pain is never just a physical experience. Pain influences thoughts, emotions, relationships, sleep, activity, identity, and the nervous system itself. Over time, many people find themselves caught in cycles of fear, frustration, avoidance, overexertion, self-criticism, or feeling disconnected from their bodies.
Our work together focuses on understanding these patterns and developing a different relationship with pain.
Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), pain neuroscience education, and nervous system-informed interventions, we'll explore the factors that may be amplifying suffering while building skills that support flexibility, resilience, and engagement in life.
This is not about convincing yourself the pain isn't real. It is not about positive thinking, ignoring symptoms, or pushing through at all costs.
Instead, we focus on helping you reconnect with your life while honoring the reality of your experience. Together, we work toward greater understanding of the mind-body connection, increased confidence in your ability to navigate difficult symptoms, and a renewed sense of possibility.
The goal is not necessarily to eliminate pain, it’s to reduce suffering and help pain take up less space in your life.
